Over the past 15+ years Ms. Shy has concentrated her practice on complex commercial, insurance and employment litigation.   Her broad litigation experience includes trial work relative to all types of business disputes on behalf of both plaintiff and defendant clients, defense of professional negligence claims on behalf of the medical, legal and real estate professions, complex insurance disputes, product liability, class action litigation and claims alleging violations of Business and Professions Code section 17200.  Ms. Shy is also experienced in handling employment litigation involving issues of wrongful termination, sexual harassment and disability rights.  Her abilities in handling jury and bench trials, arbitrations and all forms of alternative dispute resolution processes from start to finish have earned Ms. Shy a reputation as the attorney of choice when faced with difficult business litigation.

Ms. Shy received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, in 1987 and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of California, Berkeley in 1983.
