Ms. Hamasaki has extensive experience defending and advising clients with regard to all aspects of employment law including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, whistleblower, defamation, leaves of absence and wage and hour claims. She has considerable courtroom experience in both state and federal court as well as contractual arbitration proceedings, has represented employers in numerous administrative proceedings, including before the California Labor Commissioner and the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and has extensive experience representing clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Ms. Hamasaki also has an enviable success record when it comes to motions for summary judgment. In recent years, she has succeeded in obtaining summary judgment in numerous matters and, in others, has successfully narrowed the scope of the cases she handled – all to the benefit of her clients.
